Of all the venues within one hour of Anchorage, The Gathering Place is one of my favorites.
After I told Nicole and Dan about this new venue and they saw it for themselves, they decided it was the ideal place for them to get married.
Features that make this location a no-brainer for a prospective bride and groom are:
Easy access for in state and out of state guests just an hour from Anchorage.
Plenty of room and a place for the bridal party to stay for the weekend.
Separate areas for the bride and groom to get ready with everything set up for those dreamy bridal prep shots.
Gorgeous light with indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception options which is key for Alaska's unpredictable weather.
Beautiful landscaping and spaces for your guests to hang out
Wonderfully accommodating owners.
There is something about the light, the openness, the view of the Chugach Mountains in the distance that makes you just want to stand there and take it all in. Something about the presence of the Palmer Hay Flats and braided Knick River below that gives a sense of Alaska's grand scale and powerful natural elements.
Nicole and Dan's wedding is a beautiful showcase of the Gathering Place and my team did an excellent job of capturing every detail. Enjoy the dreamy gallery from the day!
